This formula is for 10-16 year old children who wish to 'have a go' at stock car racing, the cars are relatively compact, running up to 1300cc standard engines, fully caged, and run as non contact, with only slight camber adjustment allowed, grids are usually full at every meeting, racing is fast and close giving you the spectator an insight into short oval racing.

HOT RODS

Every oval racers dream, up to 2ltr power plants, allowing these cars to reach speeds of up to 80mph around the 1/4 mile oval, you can feel the power of these brutes as they race past you on track, the cars are very light, and sit low to the ground allowing them to corner at speeds un-imaginable to the average road user, a formula that really shows the men from the boys when it comes to seeing these cars bumper to bumper without room for error!

 

 

STREET STOXS

A Ford Sierra based formula running a nudge bar front and rear, H frame and door plate for driver protection, this formula is a nudge and spin class, allowing full contact racing, listen out for the ringing of the armco as these cars are bumped and banged around the raceway, this formula is designed to give the crowd something different to watch and grid numbers look promising.

 

SUPERSTOX

These open wheel racers are the closest you will see to F1 on the oval raceways, usually powered by the Ford 2 ltr pinto engines, and race anti-clockwise, speeds of up to 80mph with limited contact, and huge aerofoil, give these cars a bespoke appearence, and you the crowd a chance to see true oval racing at its best.  when this formula goes wrong, it goes wrong in a big way, racing is close and their is never any real chance for error by the drivers as they struggle to keep these cars in a straight line around the raceway.

 

THUNDER RODS

This formula is a cheap stepping stone from junior rods, or to those adults who wish to take to the raceway and wish to run on a budget.  Cars are 1800cc - 3000cc engine size, minimum build for car construction using the normal banger type H Frame and internal drivers door plate for driver protection, standard of your driveway build, this formula is Non contact and a success story for Ringwood Raceway in 2008, grids are fairley high with nearly 30 cars on track giving you a near 'days of thunder' experience not to be missed.

 

ROOKIE BANGERS

The 'baby' of the banger community, these cars are easily prepared, H Frame and drivers door plate for protection, limited allowence on car build, making this formula easy to build and on track for drivers who wish to step into contact racing with a difference,  racing is nudge and spin, and quite often the cars go home broken and unusable at the end of the meeting, full contact racing an enjoyable formula for the crowd.

 

NATIONAL BANGERS

Now seemingly becoming a travelling 'circus', this is for the big boys, FULL contact, metal bending hard hitting action from some of the UK'S top rated drivers, these cars are allowed to SMASH their way to the front of the track, and when we say contact, we mean contact, the cars hit speeds of up to 60mph and tactfully drivers take out their opposition at every given moment.  Children love to see these cars when they are smashed, and can be seen in the pits trying to get their best drivers signatures and a glimpse of the mangled wrecks that seemingly are left at the end of every meeting.
