Recent rumours surrounding Trojan International and Barford Raceway have been causing a stir lately, and I would like to update more on this matter:
An agreement has been made between Trojan International and Barford Raceway that will only better racing at Ringwood Raceway, Ringwood Raceway is still under our control at Trojan International.
In light of the agreement made, I can confirm that Ringwood Raceway will be licencing all drivers to ORCi with immediate effect.
We will be recalling all STAR licences given to date to our driver base, This will happen with immediate effect and we will be re-issuing all of our current licenced drivers with ORCi licence books as these have arrived today. (no addtional charge will be made). However all adult licences will from today be charged at £65.00 for the season, all day licences and app form meetings will be charged at £20.00.
Trojan International are pleased that we have agreed terms with Cyril at Barford and in view of our progress All drivers licencing with us will be able to utilise their licence at other Orci affiliated race tracks once received.
Drivers whom are licenced with us at Trojan International will be asked to book in with us in the first instance if you intend to race at another Orci affilaited race circuit/promotion, we in turn will then forward your booking to race. Likewise if you are not Ringwood Licenced but hold an Orci licence, we would ask that you contact your promoter to book in with us to race.
I would also like to add that we will be honouring all Orci bans.
We hope this will make for better racing, and we thank you all for your patience in this matter while negotiations were ongoing between myself and Cyril
drivers please note that this agreement is made subject to Orci ratification** further details will be made available when we are able to comment further

SPEED WEEKEND RESULTS
Speedweekend round up TORNADO III 2009!
The Euro Rod British Championship was contested at speedweekend 2009, what a superb close race we had with nearly 16 cars on the grid for the final race itself, a hard fight took place all the way through the season to find the pole sitter for 2009, the race unfolded as the laps drew to a close we saw a fight on our hands for the title as the top 3 gave it their all, the hard contest of the British championship drew a final top 3 as follows:
1st 419 Dave Murphy
2nd 361 Richard Scriven
3rd 215 Danny Johnson
4th 75 Stuart Bond
49 Dale Mitchell was taken out of the results due to an illegal measurement being found in his bottom arm and leg setup, thus losing position and points for the whole weekend, this included his final position in the southern championship.
With regard the Euro Rods Southern Championship on Sunday 9th August, we would like to congratulate all drivers for a fine drive over the 2 days, and a major boost for 215 Danny Johnson certainly showing the men how its done, the results not too far from the British, with scriven and murphy certainly showing us how to go round the ringwood oval in true style, but non the less after a heart stopping end to a 2 day event the results for the Southern Championship for Euro rods as follows:
1st 361 Richard Scriven
2nd 419 Dave Murphy
3rd 75 Stuart Bond
Junior Rods contested 2 days of racing with qualifying for their southern title on Sat 8th, with the final on Sunday 9th, drivers contested for sunday pole over qualifying on Saturday, 215 danny johnson showing us all how its done in the junior class, jack grandon giving him and ben key a run for the points, not discounting the outgoing southern champion levi robinson in number 10, a great effort by all drivers including Josh Murray and Luke conway, but victorious in the end and a superb drive gave the full effect and blue and white roof on the Sunday to 215 danny johnson, Levi Robinson in car number 10 coming a much deserved 2nd place with jack grandon 207 in third, well done to all juniors for a superb 2 days racing.
Junior rods southern championship as follows:
1st 215 Danny Johnson
2nd 10 Levi Robinson
3rd 207 Jack Grandon.
Hot Rods also contested round 10 of their 3k open Championship and a mighty 9 rounds saw the pink lady herself Helen Blackman in car 417 taking pole for the main race from 223 Gary Pollard, the race itself was full of incidents with the yellows being brought out, unfortunatley bringing the pack together and the half lap lead of the 417 car deminished to a grid order restart, but the flying blue boy himself 196 Ben Matthews took full advantage of the restart and we saw a 196, 417, 223 finish but a major chase for 3rd and 4th place saw gary dore in car 39 taking the 4th place position, with russ colenutt and alan cambridge having to settle for the latter positions.
1st 196 Ben Matthews
2nd 417 Helen Blackman
3rd 223 Gary Pollard.
Superstox contested their British Championship Round and with 16 cars on track on the speedweekend this saw ringwoods largest grid to date lots of visiting drivers came to get much needed points for the British points to determine their grid later in the season victourious was car46 taking a hatrick of wins, with Steve Lux in 248 and Matt sole in car 490 taking the much needed points, vic searle showing us a good drive in car 380, with luke berry in 555 also but the fieldwick boys certainly showing us that they too are a force to be reckoned with role on the next round on Sept 12th.
Thunder Rods saw the 2009 biggest grid line up to date with over 20 cars on track and plenty of familiar faces returning to this formula, lots of close racing and nicely presented cars but victourious in the 2009 southern race itself went to car number 19 phil gilbertson who gains the southern blue and white chequers well done phil, chris aldwell retiring again in car 37, controversy with dan hammet and sean swanborough in cars 106, and 359 the latter receiveing a 3 month ban suspended to 2 months for deliberate contact.
Streetstox also showed us that numbers are on the up and some good close racing from these guys, victorious was car 222 from 182 and 486 in the southern final so well done 222 for gaining the blue and whites, this formula now has lots more locals interested and we know of 5/6 cars currently being built so role on the 26th Sept!
The National bangers were the showpiece of Speedweekend 2009, and overs on the 8th and unders on the 9th, this proved popular for drivers and with £5,000 prize money spread between the 2 classes this was going to be the meeting for those looking to win the Tornado III title, the bears putting on a superb unlimited meeting performance with Mr Riley 521 taking the win in the Final and huge follow in from mondeo 28 on the Yank, a superb final dd too from the bears but car 28 again taking them on, albeit to the short end, but a superb drive by all and a good ending to day 1 of speedweekend 09
unders contested day 2 for the tornado unders final, this went to weymouth wallies 311 from 943 and 888 all 3 drivers showing us some superb driving, the racing was good from that moment on with crashes happening all over the raceway Tornado III ringwoods success story to date of 2009!
well done guys and keep up the good racing.

Our next meeting the 18th April will now be a domestic meeting for the Hot Rods and not the £3000 final as previously advertised.
We apologise for any inconvience this may cause
NEWS 06/04/09
There seems to be some confusion arrising with the final round of this open event.
I would like to clarify the situation that was stated initially regarding the series.
drivers had to attend 8 out of the 10 rounds and compete to be legible for prize monies.
The monies were to be split to the top 4 of the series.
higest points scorer at round 9 would sit on pole for the final race.
qualifiers for the final are as follows :
Helen Blackman
Gary Pollard
Russ Colenutt
Paul Faralewski
these drivers completed a minimum of 8 of ten rounds, and will be the only drivers legible to receive prize monies of the £3,000 prize fund.
The final will be run as the 1st race prior to the meeting formally starting in April when round 10 is scheduled.
I hope this clears up the situation, as we seem to be having drivers booking in to try and win monies when they have not completed the required amount of meetings.

Just to inform you that as of today the ford mondeo will NOT be allowed to be used in under 2ltr National bangers at ringwood raceway.
We are monitoring the use in rookies as this class is nudge and spin, however they can still be used in rookies, provided people adhere to the nudge and spin rule.
Mondeos will be allowed in over national bangers.
We have done this after carefull consideration, and will review the use of this vehicle in under national bangers once we are confident that they are ideally suited to the under national banger class.
To clarify, NO mondeos in UNDER national bangers until further notice.

NEWS 15/02/09
The 2009 season seems to be shaping up to be one of Ringwood Raceways best seasons to date.
The inaugural meeting the £1,000 ‘Rookie Riot’ plays host to some of the finest drivers ever to grace the tarmac that has over the years, been home to many a top seed within many formulas within the oval racing community.
The date for this high octane adrenalin pumping event that is sure to have you off your seats is set to role into town on Saturday 14th March 2009. And a booking list of no less than 64 Rookie bangers (at time of print), means the oval is sure to be in the popularity stakes as the Raceway to be at during 2009. Drivers will be battling out to try and get an automatic Seeding to the Rookie Banger World Championship on Saturday 28th November 2009. With the Rookie Banger World Championship now in its 6th year, and still being promoted by its founders Trojan International, after the success of last years World, interest is seemingly already popular as we have drivers already booking in for the big day itself, and the season has not yet started!
Bookings are still being taken for this event and drivers are urged to book in on the contact numbers on this website, to avoid disappointment of no booking available.
Group party bookings are being taken for this event, and we also see us building ‘Rent a Rookies’ for the demand of drivers interested in racing the first event of the season, the Grand opener on the 14th March will see Ringwood asphalt warm in ore and anticipation of the fuelled up grids of cars looking to lay the rubber beads and rev up the 2009 season with vengeance!
Spectators are reminded that this is a must see all action event and to help us bring back the atmosphere to Ringwood, WE NEED YOU, this event is one not to be missed, and when the pit gate opens for Race 1 on your racecard, the long winter break will be gladly gone and let the racing commence for another glorious action packed season.
Trojan International are pleased to bring you Short Oval Racing to Ringwood Raceway for the 3rd consecutive season, and we are pleased to be promoting at the helm of one of the UK’s oldest oval raceways, with the raceway having been in operation since 1954, this means the mighty Ringwood ¼ mile oval is soon to be 55 years young.
All that is left to say is GENTLEMEN start your engines!
News 11/02/09
Just to let you all know, that point 5 on the license form that you have all been sent shows that you should not race your car for any other promotion.

Trojan Interanitional do NOT dictate where and when you can race your car, Please strike through point 5 when filling in your license app form, if you forget do not worry we will not enforce it.

Your license will be valid to race at all STAR tracks and all STAR affiliated drivers will be able to race with us.
